It’s been years since I had a holiday box sale, but at this end of year I happen to have a number of smaller boxes that are ready to find new homes. Some are recent creations, others are blasts from the past.
Often when I am exploring ideas for new larger pieces, I will make some smaller boxes to try out an idea or an aspect of what I’m thinking. I usually end up giving these to family or friends, or they end up on a shelf in my studio waiting for a holiday sale as a chance to escape. This year I have three such “sketch boxes” available, explorations of stairways and hallways leading to hidden places. In addition to these, this year I was lucky to have a number of boxes from previous eras come back into my life. I was delighted to see them again and am now happy to have them go back out into the world.
As I have numbered every box I have made, each sale box is referred to by its number as well as the title I gave it at the time. (To give you a sense, my box #1 was dated 1969, and my latest box, one of the “sketches”, is #2377.) If you would like to give a home to any of these boxes, please feel free to contact me at jsrbox@aol.com, or if you know of anyone else who might be interested, please refer them to this page.
Any of the boxes listed below that are purchased during the month of December will enjoy an additional discount of 15% off the full price. (Shipping is not included.)
Thanks for your interest, and I hope one or more of these will strike your fancy.
